Studio 92 is an audio production facility based in the city of Toronto. It has been a venerable mainstay in the indie music scene since the mid 90's. Ensconced within the old Donlands movie theatre that drew such notables as John Candy when he was child dreaming of movie stardom, the facility has been at the same location for the past 24 years.

Founded and managed by Norm Barker, a two time Juno award winning engineer, the studio has been a bee hive of production activity since its inception. Norm created an environment that felt like home to many creative minds and his always kind and patient demeanor made him a trusted friend to many.

Kinetic Sight and Sound Inc., has recently purchased Studio 92 and will continue with the original name and brand. A long time associate and close friend of Norm Barker, Mark Nakamura (president - KSS Inc.) is honoured to carry on the tradition that Norm took great pains to establish and maintain. We at KSS take this tradition very seriously, and intend to provide the same courteous approach that you have all come to know so well.

Part of that tradition was Norm's understanding of the indie artist, and the great lengths he took to create an economical yet highly professional environment. At Studio 92, we can work with you on a number of levels. If you are a solo artist we can assemble a top flight backing band comprised of some of the best session players Toronto has to offer, many of whom have performed on major label releases with gold and platinum acclaim. Our experienced engineers will guide and nurture your sessions to help you create your audio master and bring out the best of your abilities.

We can also assist you in consultation with regards to manufacturing, distribution (via indie or major label distributors), radio releases and tracking. We also provide insightful advice on building your brand as you make your way into the world as a professional performing artist. Our accreditation not only in music but all mediums of the commercial art form speaks for itself.
